Meet the founder

Built on hard work, common sense, and a handshake.

Gary grew up on a farm just north of Jerome, Idaho, where he learned to raise livestock, fix equipment, build barns and fences, and sell what the farm produced. In short, his parents taught him how to farm, build, and run a business — and he picked up plenty of common sense along the way.

After serving in the Army National Guard & Reserves, Gary founded Golay Building Company. Over the decades he built homes, apartments, and commercial projects across the country, rebuilt communities after floods, fires, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes, and helped develop affordable housing for families with little or nothing.

He's worked alongside thousands of trades people, architects, engineers, developers, and funding sources. He knows firsthand what it takes to get a project off the ground — and how much the right funding matters. That's the experience he brings to every business owner he works with today.

Faith. Family. Hard work.
